About Family Martial Arts Center

About the School:

Here at Family Martial Arts Center (F.M.A.C.), we strive to produce students of integrity, honesty and respect to name a few. Youths are encouraged to get good school grades as well as to be good citizen's of the community.

Family Martial Arts Centers is a modern, spacious, air-conditioned, well-lit facility. It has 3,300 square feet of work out area, the floors are matted and the ceilings are high. There are male and female changing rooms, male and female restrooms as well as a pro-shop.

Tae Kwon Do:

The main system of Martial Arts taught here is Tae Kwon Do. We also offer self-defense classes and weaponry. Sports Karate is also taught, with regards to good sportsmanship and enthusiasm as well as self-control. An adult oriented system called Yashai Warcraft is also taught here. Lil Dragons is a program designed specifically for young people ages 4-7.

The mission of F.M.A.C. is to produce students with skills for life, such as but not limited to, honesty, integrity, confidence and self-control.

Your Instructor:

 

Master Smith is a 7th degree black belt with more than 32 years experience. He began his formal martial arts career in January of 1978. His instructor was local martial arts legend James W. Hadley. Mr. Smith continued to study under Hadley until his untimely death in 1991. Master Smith has been teaching professionally since 1990. Some of his accomplishments include a gold medal at World Championships in 2001, Gold medal at AAU National Championships in the same year.  Mr. Smith has promoted more than 50 students to the rank of black belt and he continues to produce skilled, honest and hard working youths and adults to this day.

Master Smith is an Apprentice Instructor of Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu, Jeet Kune Do and The Filipino Martial Arts authorized by Sifu/Guru Dan Inosanto through the Inosanto International Martial Arts Instructor's Association. It is a great honor to receive such direct authorization by a living legend. Sifu/Guru Dan Inosanto was a personal friend of Bruce Lee; a student of his and truly one of the top Martial Artists in the entire World.
